A
NEW APPROACH TO ADULT LEAGUE HOCKEY - Last year, The Edge, Seven
Bridges and Addison Ice Men’s Leagues had seventy teams. The GCAHL is
designed to offer teams greater variety of competition rather than
always playing the same teams over and over.
The GCAHL will
utilize an Executive Oversight Committee to assign teams to pools within
each division. The 2004 / 2005 Committee will be comprised of the following
individuals: Larry Gilliam, Mark Roy and Bob Freitag.
The Committee will
also operate as a rules committee to deal with any issues regarding
player, coach or spectator behavior. The GCAHL supports in full a Zero
Tolerance policy.
The playoff
structure will be determined once the final total of teams and pools are
established. It will be a single elimination system with play down games
to assure every team that has demonstrated the ability to compete for
the championship is offered the opportunity to do so.

Warm-Up. 1st and 2nd Period, 15 Minute Stop Time. 3rd Period, 15
Minute Stop Time Unless The Remaining Time On The Clock Equals The Time
Left To Play In The Game; Then The Clock Will Go To Running Time.

In order to assure
that all teams meet league criteria, all teams must submit a USA Hockey
roster and individual liability waiver forms signed by each and every
player on the roster along with their final payments. The necessary

The GCAHL will be
updating its game standings on the web daily.
